GSG 5 H&K G3 Wood Furniture Install

I’ve still not seen a GSG 522 that I didn’t like and in fact almost every day I find new a customization that take the look in a different direction but still manages to look great. In the picture and video below a fellow 522 lover creates a work of art.

A cool guy named Dan over on youtube meticulously customizes his GSG 522 to look more like an  H&K G3 with a wood stock and front grip. He grabbed some parts off of a 1960’s G3 and made them fit on his little .22 lr GSG 5 and it looks awesome.

The video below is about 1 hour long and he goes through how to put everything together and where to get parts.  He also answers any questions in the comments.

Hello Dan,
Excellent conversion. I’m starting mine now and am wondering the same thing John (8-7-13) was. What final dimensions did you use for the aluminum and steel tubes?
Thanx !
